Event overview
Nuclear Fallout is a winter obstacle-course event held at the Nuclear Essex site. The course runs over farmland and woodland and includes lakes, bogs and muddy terrain. Obstacles are a mix of natural and man-made features and include notable elements such as a 20-foot Deathslide, a Travelator and a 15-lane zip-wire into water. Races are chip-timed and every finisher receives a medal. For some race options there are no penalties for skipping obstacles and participants may walk, crawl or run at their own pace.

6 km: Age 14+; about 2 hours; more than 40 obstacles. The event lists hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, a free car park, free finishers photo, free bag drop, chip timing and free spectator access. Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
12 km: Age 17+; about 2 hours; more than 70 obstacles. This distance is chip-timed and the organiser states there are no penalties for skipping obstacles.
24 km+ Oblivion MAXX: Age 17+; about 5.5 hours; three laps of 6 km; 70+ high-intensity obstacles per lap and over 200 obstacles in total. This race includes water obstacles and is chip-timed.
Location and event village
The venue is in Brentwood, Essex, about 15 minutes from the A12, M25 and M11 and about 15 minutes by taxi from Brentwood or Epping train stations.
