About the race
Nuclear Fallout is a late season muddy obstacle event held on farmland in Brentwood, Essex. The event uses a lapped course across woodland, bogs, lakes and rivers with a mix of natural and man made obstacles, including the Deathslide, a Travelator and a multi lane zip wire into water. The organiser offers multiple race formats to suit different endurance preferences and age limits.
Distances include:
- 6 km: over 40 obstacles, age 14 plus
- 12 km: two 6 km laps, 70 plus obstacles, age 16 plus
- 24 km plus: multiple 6 km laps, 200 plus obstacles, age 18 plus
Racers are chip timed and may skip obstacles without penalty. The 12 km format is described as two laps of the 6 km course. Every finisher receives a medal. Facilities and event services listed for participants include hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free car park, free bag drop, free finishers photo, and free spectator access.
The event is staged with an event village where friends and family can watch while food, music and merchandise are available nearby. The next scheduled race date shown is 7 November 2026.
