Falling Leaves 8 miler and 5K : Overview
The Falling Leaves event takes place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Berkey, OH (10001 Central Ave.). The event includes two trail races:
- 8 miler (about 7.7 miles)
- 5K (about 3.3 miles)
Participation is limited to 250 entrants. The event listing shows the races are sold out. Medals are provided for all finishers. Awards are given to top male and female overall, masters, and grand masters in both races. To guarantee a shirt, registration had to be completed by October 14, 2025.
Course and logistics
Both races start at Secor Metropark on the all-purpose trail. The 8 miler starts adjacent to the Secor Room, follows the all-purpose trail counter-clockwise, connects to the Moseley Trail to reach Wiregrass Lake, runs a loop around the lake, and returns on the Moseley and all-purpose trails to finish at the Secor Room. The 5K follows one loop of the long version of the Secor all-purpose trail. Both courses are described as flat and non-technical. Walkers are welcome in the 5K.
Packet pick-up was scheduled Thursday evening, October 23, 2025, at Second Sole. The event provides Hydrapak reusable cups at packet pickup and aims to limit disposable cup waste. The race is part of the Toledo Roadrunners Club Trail Series and offers series registration discounts and raffle prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
