Event overview
The 2026 Fall Prairie Fire Marathon presented by Davis-Moore Automotive Group takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Equity Bank Park, 275 N McLean Blvd., Wichita, KS 67213. The race day program includes multiple distance events:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Mayor's Friendly 5K (untimed)
Details
The course runs along the Arkansas River, through downtown Wichita, past historic neighborhoods and scenic parks, and finishes at Equity Bank Park. Packet pick-up and a vendor expo are scheduled for Saturday, October 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A post-race party at the finish area will include runner food and beverages, local vendors, and an awards ceremony.
Entry fees listed on the event page are $90 for the Marathon, $80 for the Half Marathon, $40 for the 5K, and $55 for the Mayor's Friendly 5K. Marathon and Half Marathon fees increase after December 31, 2025. 5K and Mayor's Friendly 5K fees increase after May 31, 2026. Sponsors and local partners are noted on the event page.
