Fall Foliage 5K & 10K Run/Walk
The South Foster Volunteer Fire Company hosts the 14th annual Fall Foliage 5K & 10K Run/Walk in Foster Center, Rhode Island. The event takes place outdoors rain or shine and follows a country-roads course that begins and ends in the town center, passing historic sites, pastoral meadows, and farmland.
Distances offered:
- 12 and under 5K : 3.1 miles
- 5K : 3.1 miles
- 10K : 6.2 miles
Registration details include a pre-registration fee and a higher day-of-event fee. Online pre-registration closes October 16 at 11:59 PM. Registrations completed by October 1 are guaranteed a race shirt; shirts after that date are available first-come, first-served. The listed fees are $30 pre-registration and $35 day-of for the standard races, and $15 pre-registration and $20 day-of for the 12 and under 5K.
On-site amenities include free parking and port-a-potties. The event is dog and stroller friendly; dogs must be leashed. Prizes include door prize entries for a $100 gift certificate and cash plus maple syrup awards for overall Foster male and female winners in each race. Age-group awards are given to top three male and female finishers in the specified age categories for both the 5K and 10K.
