About half of the course follows the paved trail and the remainder uses residential streets.
Applied Race Management Solutions provides timing for runners; walkers will not be timed. Runners are asked to line up toward the front with faster runners first and walkers toward the back. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in male and female categories and top three overall across the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and 65 and over. The Kid's Fun Run takes place immediately after the 5K and an announcement will be made five minutes before it begins. Race awards are announced after the Fun Run.
All proceeds for the event will be donated to SWAN. SWAN is a Lancaster based music and support group for children affected by parental incarceration that provides free music lessons, ensemble training, performance opportunities, mentoring, trauma informed counseling, and biblical instruction. The organization aims to help each student heal, learn, succeed, and dream. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
