The Faithful 5K is a community 3.1 mile event in Greenbrier, Arkansas that emphasizes physical and spiritual endurance. The in-person race is centered at Matthews Park and follows a route that goes from the park through the adjacent neighborhood and onto Glenn Ln. The start/finish area is located beside the dog park; vendors and sponsors will line the walking path leading there. Parking is at the front of the park off the Highway 65 entrance near the playground and splash pad. Restroom facilities at the park will be available and check-in takes place under the pavilion.
There are multiple participation options: an in-person individual option with a shirt and medal included with registration, a family option for groups of up to eight who register together (shirts and medals included), and a virtual option using the Runkeeper app. Virtual registrants must record at least 3.1 miles and submit a GPS screenshot via the event registration management page to report results. Virtual registration does not include a shirt or finisher medal unless purchased separately; shipped items are sent after the event. Children aged nine and under may participate for free when within arm's reach of a parent or guardian; unregistered participants will not be timed and will not receive a finisher medal.
A portion of registration, sponsorship, and vendor fees will support the local nonprofit THREE18, which combines sports, medicine, service, and discipleship in its mission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
