Chase Race and Paws
Chase Race and Paws takes place on March 13, 2027, at Simon Park, 805 Front Street, Conway, AR. The event includes multiple running, walking, and adaptive categories with separate entries for participants who want to run or walk with a leashed pet.
Distances and entries:
- 2 Miles Chase Race run.
- 2 Miles Chase Race walk.
- 1 Mile Leashed dog run/walk (pet required).
- 3 Miles combined Chase Race & Paws entry.
- 2 Miles hand-cycle/wheelchair.
The 2-mile course is USATF certified and uses disposable chip timing with start/finish mats. The 1-mile PAWS event is gun timed and uses no start mat. Walk participants in the 2-mile walk must walk the entire distance; running or jogging in the walk results in disqualification. Dogs are not allowed in the 2-mile Chase Race; pets must be leashed in the PAWS event.
The courses are out-and-back, flat, and provide traffic control, an aid station, and restrooms. Participant amenities include a souvenir T-shirt (to be guaranteed, register before March 2), a goodie bag, and an official Chase Race medal for finishers. Early packet pick up is available at Compass Academy, 225 Tilk Rd, Conway, and packet pick up is also offered at the race site on race morning. Race results are posted by Garner Timing Services.
Additional on-site activities include a Best Pet Costume Contest, local animal adoption information, sponsor booths, and complimentary refreshments for participants and families. Awards are given by overall and age categories for the 2-mile race, finishing places for the walk and PAWS race, and specific pet costume awards.
