About the race
The Faith Forward 5K is organized by advocates for the AME churches in the 6th district. The organizing mission emphasizes strengthening young adults' faith publicly, letting faith-based values guide decisions and behavior, and providing a moral compass and sense of belonging during life changes such as college, career entry, or relationships.
The event takes place on February 20, 2027 at the Heal Complex, Paine College, 1255 Druid Park Ave, Augusta, Georgia 30904. Packet pickup will occur on race day to provide bibs and shirts where ordered.

- Walk with shirt option
Registration fees and inclusions are listed as follows: the 5K run fee is $35 and includes a chip, bib, and medal; this option is recommended for participants who intend to complete the 5K loop. The walk fee is $25 and includes a shirt and medal; the walk option does not include a chip. Organizers note that participants who do not plan to finish the 5K loop should not register for a bib or chip to preserve the integrity of the timed competition.
Awards are given to the fastest overall male and female in three places each. Proceeds benefit Jessye Norman School of Arts, Elevate Augusta, Bethel AME Church Young Peoples Division (YPD), Lamar-Milledge Elementary School, and Child Enrichment Inc.
