Fairford 10K
The Fairford 10K is a road race organised by Running Somewhere Else and scheduled for 7 June 2026. It is a Gloucestershire AAA County Race with Licence Number 30740 and Certificate of Course Accuracy 25/245. The event has a total of 500 places and is currently on a waiting list.
The race HQ is at Fairford Cricket Club, Park Street, Fairford, GL7 4JJ. Facilities at the venue include a water station, toilets, a secure baggage area and refreshments. A large nearby car park is available free of charge; a small donation to the local rugby club may be requested via a collection bucket at race HQ. All finishers will receive a medal.
Entry is by online registration only. Race numbers must be collected on the day and any number swaps require prior agreement with the organisers and must be requested before 1 June 2026. The event is chip timed. Entry fees are listed as UKA affiliated £17.00 and non affiliated £19.00, with entries on the day subject to availability at higher rates.
The course is an undulating 10 km loop run on country roads that remain open to traffic but are described as very quiet. The route passes through Quenington and returns with a gentle downhill to Fairford town centre.
Prizes are awarded 1st to 3rd male and female, age category winners MV35, 40, 50, 60 and 70 and FV35, 40, 50, 60 and 70, male and female team prizes counting the first three, and prizes for first male and female Fairford residents. Results will be posted on the club website after the event.
The course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes or for participants with buggies or dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
