E.T. Full Moon Midnight
The E.T. Full Moon Midnight is a road running event held in the high desert near Las Vegas, Nevada. The race takes place along Highway 375, which was officially designated as the Extraterrestrial Highway by the federal government in 1996 due to numerous reported UFO sightings in the area. This location sits on the fringe of the Area 51 site and serves as a meeting point for nature enthusiasts and those interested in extraterrestrial phenomena.
Participants run under the light of a near-full moon, with the course situated at elevations ranging between approximately 4,000 and 5,600 feet. The environment features high desert vegetation, mountain views, and open vistas. Due to the midnight timing and the location in Rachel, Nevada, temperatures are typically lower than in the Las Vegas Valley, often reaching the 60s during the month of August.
