Export 100 Trail Run : October route in western Pennsylvania
The Export 100 Trail Run is a 104-mile out-and-back trail race in Export, PA, with approximately 7,392 feet of elevation gain. The course uses sections of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail and passes through the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park, and Pleasant Valley Park during October foliage.
The event has a 32-hour overall cut-off. Pacers are permitted after Mile 62 for the remainder of the course. The route runs largely on multiuse trail that is open to the public; bicycles may be present on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and West Penn Trail sections. Single-track segments in the reserves and parks are runnable only.
Aid stations are placed along the course and vary between fully stocked stations and water-only stations. Most listed bathrooms are heated and have running water for runners and crews, with the exceptions of the Newport Road and Rangos locations. Aid stations typically offer hot food, Tailwind electrolyte, and standard ultra-style snacks where noted.
