Export 100 Trail Run
The Export 100 Trail Run is presented as a 104 mile out and back route in Export, Pennsylvania, with 7,392 ft of elevation gain and a 32 hour overall cut off. The course travels along the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail and also includes sections through the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park, and Pleasant Valley Park during October.
Aid stations are placed throughout the route and are generally fully stocked with hot food, Tailwind electrolyte, and typical ultra-style snacks except where an aid station is noted as water only. Bathrooms listed at aid stations are heated and have running water except at Newport Road and Rangos. Detailed aid station locations are provided along the course, including several points where crew access is permitted.
Pacers are allowed after Mile 62 for the remainder of the race. The Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail remain open to the public and can have bicycle traffic; the single-track sections in the reserves and parks will be runnable only. The event states that 100% of profits benefit the trail community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
