Export 100 Trail Run
The Export 100 Trail Run is a 104 mile out and back ultramarathon in Export, Pennsylvania, with 7,392 feet of elevation gain. The route follows the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail and includes singletrack sections through the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park, and Pleasant Valley Park during October foliage. Event proceeds are donated to the local trail community.
Aid stations are positioned along the route and are described in detail by mile. Most listed station bathrooms are heated and have running water for runners and crews, with exceptions noted for Newport Road and Rangos. Aid stations will be stocked with hot food, Tailwind electrolyte, and typical ultra snacks, while some stations provide water only. Crews are allowed at specified stations and pacers may join runners after Mile 62 for the remainder of the course.
The course runs largely along multiuse trails that remain open to the public; bicycles may use the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail, while the singletrack sections in the reserves and parks are runnable only. The event includes a 32 hour overall cut off and specific course cutoffs at mile markers, and the route is configured so family and friends can access and see runners for much of the course.
