About the race
The Export 100 Trail Run weekend in Export, PA on October 3, 2026 includes a long ultrarun and a newly introduced half marathon. The main event is the Export 100, a 104 mile out-and-back trail route with 7,392 feet of elevation gain that follows the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and West Penn Trail and visits the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park, and Pleasant Valley Park. The 100 mile race uses aid stations along the course, offers hot food and electrolyte support at many stops, and has a 32 hour overall cut-off.
Pacers are permitted after mile 62 for the remainder of the race. The weekend also features the inaugural Export Half Marathon. This grassroots half marathon is capped at 25 runners, begins at the Westmoreland Heritage Trail trailhead in downtown Export, routes through Duff Park and Pleasant Valley Park, and finishes in Export near a red caboose. Proceeds from the half marathon this year are designated to support the development of a larger Export Trail Running Festival planned for 2027.
Course GPX and final specifics for the half marathon are to be determined. Parts of the long course run on multiuse paved trails that remain open to the public and may have bicycles present; singletrack sections in the parks are trail running only. Many aid stations have heated bathrooms with running water, though a few locations are water only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
