Trail Running in Catalina State Park
The Everyone Runs Catalina State Park event offers participants two distinct trail distances through the natural landscapes of Tucson, Arizona. The courses start and finish at the park trail-head, utilizing the existing trail network. Participants can choose between two events:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 5.3 miles
The routes include specific features like the "92 and 48 Stair Climb." To complete the full 13.1 miles distance, participants navigate the Bridal Trail out-and-back and perform a second lap of the main course. The half marathon distance is restricted to runners and carries a strict time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Event amenities include gender-specific short sleeve technical or cotton shirts and professional race photos. The gathering features a Mexican breakfast, coffee, and raffle prizes. For the 1st place overall male and female finishers, running shoes are provided. Medals are awarded to overall and age group winners in both distances.
Registration fees are non-refundable, and bib transfers require prior approval. For liability reasons, dogs are not permitted to accompany participants on the course. Specialized discounts are available for teachers, police, fire, EMTs, and active-duty military or veterans. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
