Awards include special medals for top male and female finishers in eight age categories and a $50 gift card for the overall top male and female finishers. Handcrafted medals made by local children are planned for the first 100 finishers.

Local first responder groups including the Michigan State Police, Medstar, and local fire and rescue units are scheduled to participate and be honored.
