Every Woman Triathlon
The Every Woman Triathlon is an event held at the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre to coincide with International Women's Day. Owned and operated by Triathlon WA, the event tracks multiple disciplines across a venue designed for safety and accessibility. The course features a lake swim with a beach start and finish, characterized by an absence of waves or currents. The cycling portion takes place on a fully closed road, while the run follows a scenic footpath around the lake.
The event is open to women and girls of all experience levels, including those who identify as female. While the primary focus is on the female experience, boys and men are permitted to participate in specific categories, including the Kids Triathlon and Fun Run events. The triathlon emphasizes a community environment where participants can complete the course at their own pace.
Participants receive a race pack that includes a tutu, a finisher medal, and a finish line photo. Timed results are provided for adult categories, while the kids triathlon remains untimed. The event also serves as a fundraiser and collection point for Australian charities, specifically Share the Dignity and Little Things for Tiny Tots, which support women and infants in need.
