About the race
Eventyrsport SkyTrail is a trail race on and around Himmelbjerget with start and finish on the lawn by Hotel Himmelbjerget. The course uses a 7 km loop with 455 m elevation gain per lap, and participants can choose between the following distances:
- 7 km (1 lap)
- 14 km (2 laps)
- 21 km (3 laps)
- 42 km (6 laps)
Routes are fully marked and GPX files are available. Timing is electronic with chip, and finishers receive a medal; prizes are awarded to the top three men and women in each distance. Results are uploaded to the ITRA Performance Index.
There are refreshment stations on each lap after about 4.9 km and at passage of the event area after 7.3 km. Depots provide water, energy drink, gels, chews, bars, bananas and chocolate from Pure Power. Participants must bring their own cup or flask; single-use plastic cups are not provided. Runners may carry personal food and drink but may not place supplies on the course except at depots. Separate depot space is available at the event area for 21 km and 42 km runners.
The event area includes paid parking, public toilets, and food vendors. There is no bag storage or changing facilities, no dogs, and no babyjoggers. Chip results, start number collection at the Eventyrsport store in Silkeborg before the event, and on-site check-in are provided.
