Eva K Bowlby Library 5K Turkey Trot
The 10th Annual Eva K. Bowlby Library Turkey Trot takes place at the Eva K. Bowlby Public Library Gazebo in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on November 21, 2026. The event offers several participation options and distances:
- 1K Children's Fun Run (ages 1-12)
- 1K Pet Walk (leashed pets; best dressed pet prize)
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Pardoned Turkey virtual option with T-Shirt and donation
Proceeds support the library's mission to connect the community with opportunities for empowerment, lifelong learning, recreation, and exploration. The event includes free childcare with children's activities available while parents participate in the 5K. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided, and children's activities will be available inside the library.
Awards and medals will be given to the top three male and female 5K runners and 5K walkers in each age category. Medals are also given to the top three in each age category of the 1K Children's Run. The award ceremony will be held at the Gazebo immediately following the race.
Registration opens on 5/28/2026 and closes on 11/20/2026. T-shirts can be picked up at the library on race day; T-shirts and requested sizes are guaranteed only for registrations completed by 11/1/26.
