French 5KM - Endless Summer Trail Run Series (ESTRS)
The French 5KM is a mid-June trail race held at French Regional Park in Plymouth, Minnesota. The course is a runnable but rolling 5 kilometer loop on primarily wide, non-technical, soft-surface trails that serve as ski trails in winter. Total elevation gain is about 210 FT, roughly 68 FT per mile. The route is marked with orange flags, typically placed on the left side of the trail, and chip timing is used to record finishes. A course map is provided by the organizer.
The event has a field limit of 425 runners and an entry fee of $30 plus the registration provider fee. Registration opens January 1, 2026. Entry fees are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and the organizer does not maintain a waiting list once a distance sells out. For races of 5KM or shorter there are no on-course water stops, though water is available at the finish; participants should carry water if they expect to need it. Results are posted online as available. Race operations include check-in with race numbers, volunteer support, parking directed toward Skyview and Moraine Shelters, and post-race refreshments including Domino's pizza. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants but supervised on-leash dogs are allowed for spectators. Headphones are permitted if used at low volume.
