Eston Trail Run
The Eston Trail Run takes place on Sunday, 30 August 2026, on the final day of the Eston Show. The event is based at the Beaumont Eston Farmers' Club and uses trails through the Tarda Game Reserve, a 3 000-hectare reserve. The course terrain is described as accessible and offers views across the reserve and its varied plant and bird life.
Participants may encounter wildlife on the route, including giraffe, blou wildebeest, kudu, impala, waterbuck and protected black rhinos. Courses are loop formats and are subject to change. There is no compulsory kit requirement listed for the races.
Distances and course details:
- Long Course: 20 km, 414 m elevation, 3 aid stations.
- Medium Course: 10 km, 188 m elevation, 2 aid stations.
- Short Course: 6 km, 95 m elevation, 1 aid station.
After the run, participants return to the Eastern Showgrounds where the Eston Show features a farmers’ craft market, local food stalls and a children’s fun zone.
