Event summary
Essex Triathlons at Hanningfield Reservoir in Essex features triathlon, aquabike and open water swim events held within Hanningfield Waterside Park, located between Billericay and Chelmsford. The reservoir site includes mature woodland and about 870 acres of water, with scenic trails and country roads surrounding the course. The event has no cut-off times.
A secure transition area will be in place; race and bike numbers match racking spots, a small bag or box is permitted, bikes must be numbered and helmets visible before entry, and competitors only are admitted to transition. Live chip timing will provide real-time results. Water temperatures are expected to allow optional wetsuit use; wetsuits are recommended for buoyancy and comfort. All finishers will receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An exclusive event T-shirt is available to add for £12.00. Free parking is available for participants. Dogs are not permitted around the reservoir because the site is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
