Essex Fun Fest 5 km Walk, Run, and Wheel : 5 July 2026
This is the 3rd annual Essex Fun Fest 5 km Walk, Run, and Wheel at Sadler’s Nature Park and Trail, 182 Forest Avenue, Essex, ON, Canada. Proceeds support the Essex Area Food Bank.
The route is a new out-and-back loop through Sadler’s Nature Park and along the Sypher Systems Group Greenway. The entire course is wheelchair accessible. All participants receive a pre race warm up, a finisher medal for both 5 km run and walk, a branded t-shirt, a branded tote bag, a branded reusable water bottle, entry into raffle prize draws, post race refreshments, chip timing provided by WRACE, and awards for winning participants.
Online registration is open until 3 July 2026. Registration fees increase during the last week before the event and race day entries are permitted up to the start; race day payment must be cash or cheque and the fee is higher. Racers who register before 5 June 2026 are guaranteed a branded t-shirt.
Race kits can be picked up at Essex District High School on 3 and 4 July from 12:00 to 16:00, or on race day at Sadler's Pond. Kit pick up at the high school takes place outside the front lobby on the Talbot Street side. Parking is available on side streets, at the fire hall, and at the wellness plaza on Victoria Street. There are three park entrances: the pathway off Victoria Ave, the parking lot off Keown St, and the pathway off Thomas St. The start line is at the junction of the Victoria and Keown paths or down the first left from the Thomas entrance.
