Essex Fun Fest 5k Walk, Run, and Wheel
The third annual Essex Fun Fest 5k Walk, Run, and Wheel takes place at Sadler’s Nature Park and Trail in Essex, Ontario. This non-profit event directs all proceeds to the Essex Area Food Bank. The race features a brand new out and back loop route through Sadler’s Nature Park and along the Sypher Systems Group Greenway. Participants can choose between two main categories:
- 5 km Run
- 5 km Walk
Each registered participant receives chip timing provided by WRACE, a pre-race warm-up session, and a finisher medal. The registration package also includes a branded t-shirt, tote bag, and reusable water bottle, alongside entry into raffle prize draws and post-race refreshments. Awards are presented to winning participants following the completion of the event.
Race kit pickup is available at Essex District High School on the two days prior to the event, or at Sadlers Pond on the morning of the race. Parking is located on side streets near the park, at the fire hall, and at the wellness plaza on Victoria St. The venue also hosts music, lawn games, and various family activities throughout the day.
