Essex Fun Fest 5k Walk, Run, and Wheel
The Essex Fun Fest 5k Walk, Run, and Wheel is the third annual charity event held at Sadler’s Nature Park and Trail, 182 Forest Avenue, Essex, ON, Canada. The event is presented by BrokerLink Insurance and proceeds are directed to the Essex Area Food Bank.
The event features a 5 km option for walking, running, and wheeling. The 2026 route is a new out and back loop within Sadler’s Nature Park and Trail and along the Sypher Systems Group Greenway. The entire route is wheelchair accessible.
All participants receive a pre race warm up, a finisher medal for both the 5 km run and walk, a branded t shirt with guaranteed sizes for registrations before June 5, 2026, a branded tote bag, a branded reusable water bottle, entry into raffle prize draws, post race refreshments, chip timing provided by WRACE, and awards for winning participants.
Online registration is available until July 3, 2026. Last minute entries are allowed on race day and must be paid in cash or by cheque; registration fees increase during the last week before the race and for race day entries. Race kit pickup takes place on July 3 and 4 at Essex District High School or on race day at Sadler’s Pond. Parking is available on side streets around Sadler’s Pond, at the fire hall, and at the wellness plaza on Victoria St. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
