Penguin Waddle

Penguin Waddle is presented by Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in partnership with Fleet Feet Montclair and takes place at Turtle Back Zoo on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The event starts at the zoo front entrance and finishes inside the African Adventure habitat.

Participants may cover one of two course options:

3-mile course
1.3-mile Safari Shortcut

Post-run zoo admission is included with registration. The first 300 registrants receive a custom pom-pom beanie valued at $35. Registration cost is listed as $40. The event is described as family friendly; costumes and animal spirit are encouraged. Zoo members were sent an exclusive member discount for Adult and Child Waddle registrations via email.
