Essex County Turtle Back Zoo Penguin Waddle
The Penguin Waddle is a community run and walk at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, New Jersey. The event includes a main 3 mile course that finishes inside the zoo and a shorter Safari Shortcut route. Post-run Essex County Turtle Back Zoo admission is included with participant registration.
There are separate participant categories for ages 13 and older and ages 2 to 12. Registration fees listed for the participant categories are $40 and $25 respectively. An Official Spectator Pass is available for early entry to the zoo; a discounted pass fee is listed. Day of spectator passes may be available at the start and zoo entrance. Zoo members may enter early by showing valid membership at packet pick-up and participants with valid zoo membership may have the zoo admission portion of their registration fee waived or refunded when proof of membership is provided.
Packet pick-up is offered at Fleet Feet Montclair, 603 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair, New Jersey, with an event day pick-up location to be announced. Attendees are asked to use the Turtle Back Zoo lots and parking decks. The event is not an official race and there is no event timing. Details are subject to change.
