Essex County Cherry Blossom 10K Run - Newark, NJ
The Essex County Cherry Blossom 10K Run is scheduled for April 12, 2026, at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey. This edition is the 50th annual running of the event and takes place among the park’s historic cherry tree groves at peak bloom. The race distance is 10 km.
Registration fees are listed as $45 for standard pre-registration, $40 for USATF-NJ member pre-registrants, and $50 for race day registration. All sales are final; no refunds are offered. Packet pick-up is available on race day at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center Parking Lot under a large tent, from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM, using dynamic bib assignment. Organizers note that lines and parking lots can fill quickly.
Event items and awards include race shirts distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, finisher medals for all participants, and awards for top finishers: top three overall (male and female), top three overall USATF finishers (male and female), top three in each age category, and top three overall disabled run finishers. Prizes for some categories include gift certificates and hoodies. For every entry, $3 will be donated to Special Olympics New Jersey.
