About the race
Esrum Sø Rundt 2027 is an annual running event held on 29 August 2027 with start and finish at Fredensborg Slot in Fredensborg, Denmark. Routes run through the closed part of the palace grounds and Slotshaven with views of Esrum Sø; the longer distances continue through Gribskov and past Esrum Kloster. Runners on the 27 km route pass a boat landing at Fændrikhus after about 17 km.

Entry fees vary by distance and increase after 31 July 2027; example early prices are 330 DKK for 27 km, 225 DKK for 10 km, and 140 DKK for 5 km. There is a time limit of 3 hours 35 minutes on the 27 km route; cut-off times at depots are listed under the race rules. Entry includes a finish medal, print-ready diploma, photos taken by official cameras, and drinks at depots and the finish area. T-shirts and technical running shirts are available for purchase. Runners who collect numbers on Friday or Saturday enter a draw for three free entries to the 2028 event. The event is organized by Fredensborg Atletik Klub and sponsored by local partners.
