Erie to Ohio Road Race (October 7 to 17, 2027)
The Erie to Ohio Road Race is a long-distance event following the Ohio to Erie Trail from Cleveland to Cincinnati, covering approximately 326 miles. The course runs roughly from Lake Erie to the Ohio River; mileage may vary slightly due to trail closures or detours. The official event dates are October 7 to 17, 2027. The start location is Edgewater Park in Cleveland and the finish is at the Ohio River in Cincinnati. Registration opens October 11, 2026.
The event is organized as a small-field journey race rather than a traditionally supported ultramarathon. There are no crews allowed and there will not be traditional aid stations along the route. Participants are responsible for managing food, sleep and other needs while on course. Organizers will provide electronic tracking and will monitor participants for safety. The entry fee is $695 and includes parking at the finish, transportation and a hotel room at the start for those using race logistics; transportation from Cincinnati to Cleveland on October 6 and extended parking in Cincinnati while on course are included for those options. Two logistics discounts are available: $75 off if no Cincinnati parking is needed and $75 off if no Cleveland hotel or transportation is needed; these discounts are combinable. Finishers receive an Erie to Ohio finisher buckle and a portion of proceeds will be donated to support the Ohio to Erie Trail. The initial field size is limited and a waitlist will be used if capacity is reached. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
