Erie Duathlon in support of the Erie Cancer Wellness Center
The Erie Duathlon supports the Erie Cancer Wellness Center, which provides free programs and services to people living with a cancer diagnosis, to caregivers, to those with a loved one affected by cancer, and to people who have experienced a cancer-related loss. The center offers evidence-based healing classes, programs and services at no charge.
The event is scheduled for 20 September 2026 and is centered at Pleasant Ridge Park in Fairview. The course runs on county roads in the Fairview and Girard area and begins and ends at the park. Participants may compete individually or as a two-person relay consisting of one runner and one cyclist. The total course distance is 18.6 miles and is composed of the following segments:
- 5 km run
- 20 km bike
- 5 km run
Registration details are provided for individual and relay entries. Registration opens 9 January 2026 and closes 30 April 2026. Entry fees listed by the organizer are $55.00 for the Open individual entry and $80.00 per team for relay categories. Relay registration requires one team member to register and pay, and the second team member to register separately and join by team name.
Fundraising incentives are offered: participants who secure $200 in pledges receive a long sleeve Erie Duathlon tee, and participants who secure $400 in pledges by 1 August receive the tee plus a custom Erie Cancer Wellness Center cycling jersey.
