Event Overview

The Erie Duathlon is an event in support of the Erie Cancer Wellness Center (ECWC). The center provides free programs and support services to individuals and families affected by cancer. The 2026 event is the fourth edition.

Course and Format

The duathlon consists of a 5K run, followed by a 20K bike ride, and finishes with another 5K run. The race starts and finishes at Pleasant Ridge Park in Fairview. The course uses county roads around the park in Fairview and Girard. Running and cycling segments take place on public roads, with the transition area located at the park.

Participation Options

Athletes can participate in one of the following categories:

  • Open (individual)
  • Male Relay
  • Female Relay
  • Mixed Relay

Relay teams consist of two people: one runner and one cyclist. Registration is capped at 170 participants. Athletes are invited to create fundraising pages for the ECWC.
