ERC Scholarship Run/Walk in memory event
This annual memorial run and walk marks its 15th edition and is held in Montclair at Fleet Feet Montclair, 603 Bloomfield Ave. The event raises funds for memorial scholarships awarded each year to two college bound seniors at Montclair High School who have been outstanding in track and field or cross country and who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and community service.
Participants may complete one of three distances listed below. The event is organized as a casual, untimed run or walk and the roads will remain open to traffic. The 8 mile route follows a special memorial course that passes several local landmarks in remembrance.
Registration requires a $10 fee per person; donations are also accepted from people who cannot run. Everyone who registers or donates will be entered in a raffle for a $50 Fleet Feet gift card. Light refreshments will be available back at Fleet Feet Montclair after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
