About the race
Epic East Gate is a trail and ultra running event held within Riding Mountain National Park. It is organised by the Dauphin Rotary Club in collaboration with Parks Canada and begins at the Historic East Gate, about 15 minutes from McCreary, Manitoba.
The event offers three route options:
- 50 km figure 8 course with elevation gain greater than 1000 m
- 25 km single loop course with elevation gain greater than 500 m
- 10 km out-and-back along lower Reeves Ravine
The 25 km and 50 km routes include viewpoints from Little Bald Hill. Portions of the routes run on flowy single track and include technical descents in Upper Reeves Ravine. The 10 km route follows lower Reeves Ravine and is described as an introduction to trail running.
Epic East Gate is part of the Ultimate Trails of Manitoba series. Registration opens March 7 for Manitoba Association of Trail Runners members and March 8 for the general public. Fee tiers listed for the event are: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

- Late bird from June 1: 10 km $105, 25 km $125, 50 km $160
