Enlightenment Mountain Run : Angel Fire, NM
The Enlightenment Mountain Run is a two-day trail running event at Angel Fire Resort on August 15, 2026. The event uses the Enlightenment Trail and the Start/Finish is located at the base of the Chile Express lift behind the resort lift area. The singletrack course climbs roughly 2,000 feet to the summit and is marked with yellow flagging and directional signage.
Race formats, logistics and amenities
- 5.2 miles - Saturday "The Ascent": uphill on singletrack to the summit; participants may ride the lift back down.
- 10.4 miles - Sunday "Mountain Classic": up-and-down on the same route to the summit and return to the Start/Finish.
Race headquarters is at Angel Fire Resort. The resort offers on-site lodging, camping within walking distance for a fee, and recreational activities such as golfing, boating, hiking, and a zip line. Dining is available at resort locations with mountain views. Packet pickup is available at Race Headquarters on both race mornings.
Registration, fees and policies
Standard and late registration tiers apply, with higher race-day fees. T-shirt ordering has an early deadline. Refunds are handled as credits: 50% rollover credit is issued for cancellations 21 days or more before the event (UltraSignup fees excluded); no refunds or credit less than 21 days before the event.
