Enlightenment Mountain Run
Enlightenment Mountain Run is a two-day trail running event at Angel Fire Resort that uses the Enlightenment Trail to reach the mountain summit. The event features singletrack terrain and substantial elevation gain, with the uphill route climbing roughly 2,000 feet to the summit and providing panoramic views of the Moreno Valley.
The event schedule offers two distinct formats across the weekend. Saturday is an uphill Ascent to the summit with a free lift ride back down for participants. Sunday is a Mountain Classic up and down race that uses the same uphill route to the summit followed by a return to the start area at the base of the mountain. The Start/Finish and race headquarters are located behind the lift at the base of the Chile Express.
The course will be marked with yellow flagging and directional signage. Organizers conduct trail maintenance before the event and sweep courses afterward to minimize litter and support trail stewardship. Packet pickup takes place at race headquarters on the mornings of the two race days.
Pricing tiers apply with standard, late, and race day rates. The t-shirt deadline for guaranteed sizing is August 1. The refund policy provides a 50 percent rollover credit 21 days or more before the event and no refunds or credits less than 21 days before the event.
