Enlightenment Mountain Run : Angel Fire, NM
Enlightenment Mountain Run takes place at Angel Fire Resort on August 15, 2026 and is organized by Syllamo Events. The event is presented as a two day trailrunning experience that uses the Enlightenment Trail to reach the resort summit and returns to the Start/Finish area at the base of the lift.
The course is singletrack and climbs roughly 2,000 feet to the summit. The event offers two formats:
- 5.2 miles Enlightenment Ascent to the summit
- 10.4 miles Mountain Classic up and down using the same route
The Start/Finish is located at the base of Chile Express behind the lift. The route will be marked with yellow flagging and directional signage. Participants are offered a free lift ride back down after the ascent option on the first day.
Organizers perform trail maintenance and sweep courses before and after the event to minimize trail impact and leave no trash behind. The event is the kickoff of the Mountain Cap Trail Series and is scheduled alongside related races later in August.
Pricing varies by entry window with standard, late, and race day rates. A t-shirt deadline and a refund policy apply: 50 percent rollover credit 21 days or more before the event, and no refunds or credit within 21 days of the event.
