Event overview
The End of the Road Half Marathon & One Tunnel 4 Miler takes place October 24-25, 2026 in Waterfall, Pennsylvania (3005 Pump Station Rd, Waterfall, PA 16689). The course uses the abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike and includes two long, dark tunnels - Sidling Hill and Ray's Hill - with about five miles of tunnel running. The route combines tunnel miles with rolling rural roads and mountain scenery. The event provides live splits and live results, half marathon pacers, post-race food and beverages, and a pre-race Movie Night on the Turnpike. Virtual options are offered for participants who join remotely.

Regular registration includes a 2026 long sleeve tech shirt (upgrade option to a hoodie), a custom finisher's medal, live timing, eligibility for age-group and overall awards, and race-day support. Two-day challenge registrations include an additional winter hat and a special pin. Economy registration omits swag but retains timing, live splits, pacers, post-race food, and award eligibility.
