About the race
The Enabled 5K Run/Walk is an inclusive community event on October 11, 2026 at Queens Museum - Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Corona, NY. The event is presented as an official 5K walk, run and roll that emphasizes accessibility and participation by people of all abilities, including wheelchair and adaptive athletes and prosthetic users.
The program includes an opening ceremony, adaptive athlete recognition, live music and entertainment, a sponsor village, family-friendly activities, food and refreshments, inspirational speakers and testimonials, giveaways and raffles, and professional race timing. Participant packages list a custom race shirt produced in collaboration with Godspeed Clothing, a swag bag, a customized finisher medal, official race bib, free finish line photos, and live/text/email results. Personalized bibs are provided for participants who register at least three weeks in advance.
The course is USATF certified. The event supports the work of Re'tached, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and lists a community fundraising goal of $5,000 with a partial amount raised to date. Registration terms indicate that race fees are non refundable and not transferable.
