Emirates Villages Run Series: Sharjah (Wadi Al Helo)
The Emirates Villages Run Series is a nationwide running series that visits seven villages across the seven emirates. The 2026 season stages one of its races in Sharjah at Wadi Al Helo as part of a seven-race calendar running from 10 October to 5 December 2026.
The series presents a mix of timed and community distances held at village locations to highlight local landscapes and community stories. Distances offered at each village include:
- 10KM Competitive Run for timed results and pace testing
- 5KM Community Run for running clubs and recreational runners
- 1.5KM Family Run for families, children and first-time participants
Completing all seven races awards a seven-piece medal that represents each village and emirate. The series also includes a prize pool of AED 1,000,000 distributed across eligible race categories. Organised by the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, the event aims to link sport with village destinations and community engagement through a national race calendar.
