The Event
The EMC DAM to DSM is a half marathon in Iowa. The event describes itself as "Iowa's greatest running tradition" and will return for its 47th year.
The Course
The route is a point-to-point course from the Saylorville Dam to Downtown Des Moines. It covers both rural and urban terrain. The course starts at Saylorville Lake, goes through fields in Polk County, and finishes in the city center after crossing the Des Moines River near the World Food Prize Building.
Participant Logistics
Buses are provided to transport runners to the starting line at Saylorville Dam. The finish area is at Cowles Commons. A post-race party is held there.
