Event overview
Embrace Winter Run is a winter road-running event on Sunday, February 15, 2026, based at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa (1 Vimy Pl, Ottawa, ON K1A 0M8). The course is on a closed, paved road and is a certified course that can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. The 2026 course map includes views of the Ottawa River, Downtown Ottawa, and the Canadian War Museum.
Distances and fees
- Marathon - 42.2 km : $140 (includes taxes and fees)
- Half Marathon - 21.1 km : $110 (includes taxes and fees)
- 10K - 10 km : $75 (includes taxes and fees)
- 5K - 5 km : $65 (includes taxes and fees)
- 3K - 3 km : $49 (includes taxes and fees)
- Snowy Shuffle Kids 1K - 1 km (includes medal) : $35 (includes taxes and fees)
Services, prizes and deadlines
Registration includes a personalized race bib and professional timing. On-course nutrition is provided by XACT. Race photography is sponsored, and post-race offerings include snacks, hot chocolate, and pre- and post-race massages from triOS College. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary athletes. Shirt orders must be placed by January 5. Finisher medals are an optional add-on and must be ordered by January 15. Online registration to have a name on the Athlete Wall closes February 10 at 6 pm.
Logistics and policies
Bib pickup is available Saturday, February 14 at Sports4, College Square (1371 Woodroffe Ave, Nepean, ON K2G 1V7) and on race day inside the War Museum. Refunds are only available if cancellation insurance was purchased. The event supports Imerman Angels, a cancer peer-support charity. Strava files and course details are available for each distance.
