Embrace Winter Run

Embrace Winter Run is an official Winterlude event held in Ottawa, with the run course centered near the Canadian War Museum. The course is certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The route offers views of the Ottawa River, downtown Ottawa, and the museum.

Race distances include:

• Marathon
• Half Marathon (21.1 km)
• 10K
• 5K
• Snowy Shuffle Kids 1K
• 6 Hour Urban Ultra, new for 2027

Registration includes a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition provided by XACT, event photography, post-race snacks and hot chocolate, and pre- and post-race massage, chiro, and physio services. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary athletes. A discounted post-race brunch is available at Mill St Brewpub, approximately 650 m from the venue.

Additional details: a finisher medal is available as an optional add-on (medal deadline January 15) and event shirts have a separate order deadline (December 19).
