Event overview
Embrace Winter Run is a winter road running event held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa (1 Vimy Pl, Ottawa, ON). It is an official event of Ottawa’s Winterlude festival. The course runs on closed, paved roads and features views of the Ottawa River, Downtown Ottawa, and the Canadian War Museum. The certified course is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

Registration includes a personalized race bib, professional timing, optional finisher medal (available to add), on-course nutrition supplied by XACT, race photography, post-race snacks, and hot chocolate. Pre- and post-race massage, chiropractic, and physiotherapy services are provided by The Movement Co. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary athletes. A discounted post-race brunch (10% off, excludes alcohol) is available at Mill St Brewpub, about a 650 m walk from the event.
Important deadlines include a shirt order cutoff (December 19) and a medal-add deadline (January 15). Online registration is available until February 10, subject to availability. Bib pickup is offered the day before at Sports4, College Square, and on race day inside the War Museum. The event raises funds for Imerman Angels.
