Elwood Community Days 5K Run & Walk
The event takes place on September 11, 2026, at Lloyd Erickson Park, 801 N Chicago Street, Elwood, IL. It features a 3.1 Miles run and walk held as part of the town Community Days program. Entry to the main Community Days event and one beer ticket are included with registration.
Registration opens in early 2026 and is listed as open through September 10, 2026. The standard registration fee is $35.00; day of race registration increases to $40.00 with no guarantee of a race shirt. A shirt order will be placed on August 23, 2026, and registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt. Extra shirts will be available for purchase for $17.00 and extra koozies for $3.00.
Packet pickup is available on Thursday, September 10 at Elwood Village Hall, 401 E Mississippi Ave, with onsite packet pickup available at the race location on race day. All packets not picked up will be donated to charities unless other arrangements are made.
All finishers receive a 3D medal. Placement awards are given to top finishers by age and gender. The course has a 75 minute cutoff time. A raffle will be held with tickets sold at packet pickup and on race day for multiple prize baskets.
Proceeds support a local 501(c)(3) charity fund dedicated to EMS scholarships and donations to public service and first responder organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
