Elwood Community Days 5K Run & Walk
The Elwood Community Days 5K Run & Walk is a community road event held in Lloyd Erickson Park at 801 N Chicago Street, Elwood, IL 60421. The event offers a 3.1 Miles running and walking course with a 75 minute finish cutoff. All finishers receive a 3D medal; placement awards are given to top finishers by age and gender. Awards are presented at the Main Community Days Pavilion.
Registration information includes an early fee of $35 and a race-day fee increase to $40 with no guarantee of a race shirt. The event notes a shirt order cutoff on August 23, 2026; registrations after that date may not receive a shirt. Entry includes access to the Main Community Days Event and one beer ticket, noted as having a value over $10.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Elwood Village Hall, 401 E Mississippi Ave, and onsite pickup is available at the race location. Unclaimed packets will be donated to charities unless other arrangements are made. Raffle tickets are sold at packet pickup and on race day; tickets are offered at $20 for 21 chances and raffle baskets are displayed at packet pickup and at the main pavilion.
