Elephant Trail Race, Port Macquarie : 17 to 19 July 2026
The Elephant Trail Race is a multi-distance trail running event held in Port Macquarie over three days. The program includes solo ultras, staged races across multiple days, shorter trail distances and a kids race. All competitors (except the 2.5 km kids race) must have mandatory gear checked before collecting their race pack. Gear checks are completed at race check-in in Port Macquarie or at a race morning check-in at the event. A cut-off applies to printing names on bibs.

Entry fees vary by distance and by entry period. Entry periods listed are Early Bird (1 Aug–31 Dec 2025), Standard (1 Jan–31 May 2026), Late (1 Jun–15 Jul 2026) and Check-in Late Entry (16–19 Jul 2026). Example Early Bird prices include 217 km $525, 160 km $419, 100 km Solo $325, 50 km $215 and 5 km $35; fees increase in later periods. Early Bird entries for 25 km to 217 km include a free shirt. A deferral option for certain Early Bird entries is available with a closing date and partial refund and deferral rules apply.
Finish awards are buckles for the longest distances and medals for shorter distances; there are gold and silver categories and a five year legend medal for long-term participants. The event acknowledges the Birpai people as traditional custodians of the land traversed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
