Elephant Trail Race - Port Macquarie, 17-19 July 2026
The Elephant Trail Race is a multi-distance trail running event held in Port Macquarie over three days. The programme spans ten race distances, including long ultras and short community races, with staged options over multiple days for some distances.
Distances include:
- 217 km ultra
- 160 km ultra
- 100 km solo
- 100 km staged 3 day event
- 75 km staged 2 day event
- 50 km
- 25 km
- 13 km
- 5 km
- 2.5 km kids race
Entry pricing changes by period, with Early Bird, Standard, Late and Check-in Late Entry windows. Early Bird entries (1 Aug to 31 Dec) include a free shirt for distances from 25 km to 217 km. The event provides an option to book a transition tent site for selected distances.
All competitors except the 2.5 km kids race must have mandatory gear checked in person before receiving race packs; online gear checks are not available. Finishers receive buckles for the longest races and medals for shorter distances, with placement buckles for top finishers. The organiser is Coastal Track and Trail Runners and the event includes an acknowledgement of the Birpai people as traditional custodians of the land the course travels along.
