Event
The El Diablo Trail offers two off-road race distances on Jersey’s north coast. The organiser lists a Half Marathon of 13.1 miles with 2096 ft of elevation and a 10k of 10 km with 700 ft of elevation. Cut-offs are 4 hours for the half and 2 hours for the 10k. Entry includes a race T-shirt, medal, insurance cover, and a fully marked course.
Course
The route follows north-coast trails and coastal features. Key points named on the course include Bonne Nuit Bay, Grève de Lecq, Sorel Point, Mourier Valley, Devils Hole, Plémont Bay, Grosnez, and L’Etacq. The terrain includes steep climbs, clifftop paths, and descents, with a final downhill section to the finish. GPX files and course maps are available.
Logistics and mandatory kit
Aid stations provide water, Coke, and sweets; runners must bring a personal cup. Mandatory kit items checked at registration include trail shoes, a warm top layer, a foil blanket, rain jacket if raining, a water receptacle of at least 1 L, a cup for drinks, calories between checkpoints, and a charged phone with What3Words. An optional bus from the finish back to the start is offered at registration for a fee. Car-sharing, taxi lists, and community chat are mentioned for travel planning.
