The EHQ Valley Falls event takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Valley Falls State Park in Fairmont, West Virginia. Registration closes May 8. The event offers two timed options:
- 6 Hour
- 12 Hour
The event benefits the Innocent Lives Foundation.
Course and facilities
The course is a roughly 5.25 mile loop with about 750 ft of vertical gain per loop. Terrain includes gravel service roads, single-track trails, streams, rocky climbs, rolling trail sections, and views of the falls. The trail will be clearly marked. Camping is not permitted in the park and the park closes at night. The park has one restroom with running water, no showers on site, and a porta-potty will be available. A water hose may be available.
Aid, rules and awards
Two fully stocked aid stations will be located at the start/finish and at the halfway point, offering water, electrolytes, soda, various food including vegan options, and salt caps. Runners are asked to carry their own cup or hydration system; disposable cups will be limited. Personal aid stations and crew support are permitted, but canopies should not be set up in gravel parking lots. Poles and pacers are allowed. Pets are not permitted. Runners must stay on marked park trails and follow Leave No Trace and state park alcohol rules. Top finishers receive awards and all participants receive mementos and a participant shirt. Refunds are 50% until 30 days prior; transfers or deferrals are allowed until 5 days prior. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
