EHQ Valley Falls 6 & 12 Hour
The EHQ Valley Falls event on May 8, 2027 takes place at Valley Falls State Park in Fairmont, WV (720 Valley Falls Rd). It offers timed six-hour and twelve-hour trail events with solo and relay options. New for 2027, relays are structured as two-person teams for the six-hour and four-person teams for the twelve-hour.

The course is a loop of roughly 5.25 miles with about 750 feet of vertical gain per loop and runs clockwise for 2027. Terrain includes gravel service roads, single-track trails, streams, rocky climbs, and rolling trails, with the park’s falls visible from the course. The trail will be clearly marked.
Two fully stocked aid stations are located at the start/finish and the halfway point, offering water, electrolytes, soda, food including vegan options, and salt caps. Runners are asked to carry their own cups or handhelds; disposable cups will be limited. Personal aid stations and crews are permitted; canopies should not be set up in gravel parking areas. Facilities include one restroom with running water and a porta potty; there are no onsite showers. Valley Falls closes at night and camping is not permitted.
Race rules note that poles and pacers are permitted, pets are not allowed, runners must stay on park trails, and state park rules prohibit alcohol. Awards include top-three male and female prizes, participation mementos, event shirts, fastest-lap awards, and distance mementos. The event benefits The Innocent Lives Foundation.
