Event overview
The 2026 Edmonton First Responders Half Marathon is the 14th edition of an event held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park, Buena Vista Road Northwest, Edmonton, AB, Canada. The course uses Edmonton’s River Valley trail system. The event honours police, fire, EMS and other frontline responders and includes charitable contributions to local mental health and resilience programs, including OSICan and the Canadian Mental Health Association (Edmonton Region). In 2024 the event raised over CA$21,000 for those programs.

There are individual and team options. Half marathon and 10 km team entries are for teams of four; teams run together and results are calculated by the average time of all four individual runners. This is not a relay. Each team member also receives an individual time. If one or more team members do not complete the course, remaining members receive only individual results and no team time.
Fees and policies
Entry fees vary by distance and registration period (examples: 21 km from CA$103.89 to CA$125.33; 10 km from CA$71.75 to CA$93.18; 5 km from CA$61.03 to CA$82.47; 1 km from CA$34.24 to CA$39.60). Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. Optional registration insurance is available through the registration platform. Organizers reserve the right to deny or revoke entries. In cases of force majeure or poor air quality, the event may be modified or considered complete if any portion of a distance is offered; if fully cancelled prior to race day, organizers may offer a complimentary virtual entry or a credit up to 40% of the paid entry fee toward the following year.
