The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is a multi-event running weekend held in Edinburgh and surrounding areas on 23-24 May 2026. Events cover distances from 1 kilometre up to a full marathon (26.2 miles). The programme includes adult races, a team relay and several junior events for children and teenagers.

• 26.2 miles : full marathon
• Half marathon : starts at Potterrow, finishes in Musselburgh
• Team relay : four-person relay, each leg different
• 10k : run in Holyrood Park, starts/finishes near Dynamic Earth
• 5k : run in Holyrood Park, starts/finishes near Dynamic Earth
• Junior 5K : for 11-18 year olds, Holyrood Park route
• Junior 2K : for 9-12 year olds, Holyrood Park route
• Junior 1.5K : for 6-8 year olds, Holyrood Park route
• Kids Kilometre : for 3-6 year olds, Holyrood Park route

The marathon and half marathon routes pass notable Edinburgh landmarks and include coastal scenery along the East Lothian shoreline.
