Edinburgh Marathon Festival
Edinburgh Marathon Festival takes place on 29 and 30 May 2027 in Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The weekend includes races from junior distances up to the full marathon across city and park routes.

The half marathon route starts at Potterrow in Edinburgh and proceeds past several city landmarks before heading toward Musselburgh for the finish. The marathon route also passes iconic Edinburgh sites and offers views along the East Lothian coastline, finishing in Musselburgh.
The 10K and 5K routes take place in Holyrood Park, starting and finishing near Dynamic Earth, and include panoramic views of the city and Edinburgh Castle. Junior races are held in Holyrood Park with age-specific distances: Junior 5K for 11 to 18 year olds, Junior 2K for 9 to 12 year olds, Junior 1.5K for 6 to 8 year olds, and the Kids Kilometre for 3 to 6 year olds.
