Event
The Ed Sherlock 8K Run/Walk takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Southampton Rangers Club in Southampton. The event is the first of four races in the Swan's Legend Series. To be scored in the series participants must be entered in the series and complete at least three of the four races. Prepaid entry into the four-race series is offered as a single registration.
Race format and entry
The event offers multiple 8K options: a competitive run, a competitive walk (running is not permitted at any time in this event), and a non-competitive run/walk. Age eligibility and prices as listed: the prepaid series entry is priced at $120 (open to ages 20+); the single-event 8K options are priced at $35 with reduced rates of $15 for youth categories shown. The non-competitive 8K is not eligible for prizes and is intended for participation without competition.
Course and logistics
The course leaves the Rangers Club (starting at Eastdale Lane), follows South Road east to Camp Road, then Middle Road to Barnes Corner, and returns on South Shore Road to the Rangers Club. Number pickup is available on race morning. Strollers are only permitted in the walk and must start near the back. Dogs are discouraged in the Start/Finish area.
