The course begins and ends in the EChO parking lot, passes through downtown Evergreen on Hwy 74, goes around the lake, and descends the south staircase before returning to the parking lot. Participants are advised to be cautious of snow and ice and to use traction devices or shoes with good traction if needed.
Event guidelines note that pets on a leash are welcome and costumes are encouraged. Strollers are not allowed because of stairs on the route. Packet pickup is available on multiple days before the event and on race day; registrations received by November 1, 2026 are guaranteed a t-shirt. VIP parking is available as a paid add-on with a limited number of spaces, and two accessible parking spaces are reserved at no charge for vehicles with a valid ADA placard or plate.
A virtual Turkey Trot option runs November 23–26, 2026; virtual participants receive a race bib by email and may share photos from their route. Holiday pies are awarded to age group winners and to best team, human, and dog costumes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
