Event Details
The Eastside Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event is based at the Eastern Community YMCA on 2960 Pickle Road in Oregon, Ohio.
Events
The event offers three options:
- Eastside Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk: A 5K road course on city streets, starting and finishing at the YMCA. It includes one water station. A virtual option is also available.
- 1K Kids Run (12 & Under): A free event for children aged 12 and under.
- Eastside Turkey Trot 5K Virtual: A virtual running option.
Registration and Amenities
Race day registration and packet pickup open at 7:30 AM. Pre-registered participants by November 15th receive a long sleeve triblend shirt and a $10 shoe discount coupon from Second Sole. Late registration and race day shirt availability are limited. Early packet pickup is available at Second Sole in Perrysburg on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the race.
Refreshments include fruit, baked goods, and a sports drink. The race is timed using disposable bib chips.
Awards and Contests
Awards for the 5K race are given to overall male and female winners, overall masters (40+), and grand masters. Age group awards are presented at least five deep across numerous categories from 9 & under to 85 & older. The first male and female to reach the one-mile mark each win a turkey. There is also a costume contest with categories for Best Overall Costume, Best Turkey Look Alike, and Race Director Choice.
Parking
Parking is available at the Eastern Community YMCA on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking is at Cardinal Stritch High School with complimentary shuttles to the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
