Eastnor Castle Backyard 8hr and Relay 2026
The Eastnor Backyard takes place on Sunday 26th April 2026 in the private grounds of Eastnor Castle Deer Park, within the Malvern Hills National Landscape, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The setting includes green hills and tree-filled parkland surrounding the estate.
The course follows a figure of 8 route on a private estate road. The route is marked with reflective signs and offers views of Eastnor Castle and of British Camp, an Iron Age hill fort visible on the horizon. Headtorches or chest torches, supplied by each runner, are required for the final hours.
The event is run in timed formats. Participants may compete as solo runners or as part of a large team and can aim to achieve landmark distances:
- 33.3 mile ultra
- 50 mile ultra
