Eastham Windmill Weekend Road Race
The event is a 5k road race held at First Encounter Beach on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The course runs from First Encounter Beach along Samoset Road, through rolling hills, loops by the Eastham Library, and returns to the beach. The event is intended for a range of ages and abilities and is described as suitable for running, walking, or strolling.
Online registration is available and registration will not be offered in person on race morning. Bib pickup is available the morning of the race and a separate pickup is scheduled on Saturday afternoon at the Eastham Windmill Green. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before the start to check in.
General Race Entry includes free beach parking, race entry, professional race timing, and a T shirt for the first 75 participants. Prizes will be awarded to first place winners in all age groups. Entry fees are: under 3 free; ages 3 to 12 twenty dollars; ages 12 to 70 twenty five dollars; 70 and older twenty dollars. The event proceeds will be shared with a foundation established in memory of two local neighbors, with half of race proceeds donated. The race proceeds and activities will occur rain or shine.
