Easter Sun Run 2026 : Sedgwick County Park, Wichita
The Easter Sun Run takes place on April 4, 2026, at Sedgwick County Park in Wichita. The event marks its 32nd year and includes multiple race options and family activities. Proceeds support Youth Horizons, a faith based nonprofit serving about 200 local youth and their families through mentoring, residential care, and advocacy programs.

- Jeff Wenzel Memorial 2 mile run or walk
- Combo: 10K and 2 mile run or walk
- In For The Fun and a T Shirt
Awards and recognition include cash prizes for top finishers in the 10K and the 2 mile, masters awards for ages 40 to 59, senior grand master awards for ages 60 and up, and medals or certificates for top age category finishers. Team entries receive special terms: teams of ten or more qualify for a per person discount and may have their team name printed on race shirts when registered by March 1. Trophies are planned for categories such as fastest team, largest team, largest church team, and best team spirit.
The event also includes an Easter Family Fun Zone with an egg hunt, inflatables, yard games, cotton candy, popcorn, and a free barbecue lunch with hamburgers, hot dogs, and baked beans.
