Together We Run for Education Charity Road Race
The event takes place on September 27, 2026, at Great River Park, 301 E River Drive, East Hartford, Connecticut. It is organized to raise funds that support scholarships for graduating East Hartford Public Schools students, mini-grants for teachers and staff, and mentoring and networking programs for the district.
Two course options are offered:
- 5K road race on a flat, paved out-and-back route along the Connecticut River
- 1.5 miles untimed walk on paved, accessible pathways of Great River Park
The 5K follows a riverside route that passes waterfront views and the Hartford skyline and runs south along the riverbank. The 1.5 mile walk follows park pathways heading north along the river and highlights waterfront scenery, public art, and panoramic skyline views. The courses use paved surfaces and are described as family friendly and accessible.
Onsite amenities noted for the event include parking at the American Eagle Financial Center, snacks and beverages included with registration, awards, and T-shirts. The event is hosted by local alumni and education organizations and is presented as a community fundraising effort for East Hartford schools.
