East Coast Classic 10K - Mablethorpe
The East Coast Classic is a seaside 10 km road race scheduled for 13 September 2026 on Mablethorpe promenade. Lincolnshire Athletics is organising the event and it will serve as the first dedicated county 10k road championships.
The course is an out-and-back route from the RNLI lifeboat station to Sandilands and back along the promenade. It is mainly flat and traffic free, with a couple of sharp declines and inclines around 1 km and 9 km, and narrow sections between 3–4 km outbound and 6–7 km inbound. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs and remains open to the general public; runners should expect occasional sand on the prom and be aware of pedestrians and cyclists. The race will be marshalled and first aid will be provided.
Race HQ is in beach hut 18 beside the RNLI station (postcode LN12 1AL). Race numbers are collected on the day; numbers are Tyvek with an integrated timing chip and a tear-off baggage label. A baggage drop is available at beach hut 17 and numbers must be shown to claim bags. Water is provided at the 5 km turn and at the finish.
Chip timing is provided by Sublime/Webscorer with instant and dynamic results; QR codes on bibs provide finish times. Finish line photos will be available to download free of charge. Earphones including bone-conducting devices are not permitted and their use will lead to disqualification.
Entry costs are £22 affiliated and £24 unaffiliated. Entries close on 7 September and entrants may opt into the county championships if they meet county eligibility rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
