East Coast Classic 10K - Mablethorpe
The event is a 10 km road race on the Mablethorpe promenade organised by Lincolnshire Athletics. It serves as the county 10k road championships. The scheduled date is Sunday 13 September 2026 and the entry closing date is 7 September.
The course is an out-and-back route from the RNLI Lifeboat Station to Sandilands and back along the promenade. It is mainly flat and traffic free, with two sharper declines or inclines around 1 km and 9 km. A narrow section appears between 3 km and 4 km outbound and between 6 km and 7 km inbound; runners are requested to keep left. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs. Parts of the promenade run adjacent to the beach and sand can blow onto the surface; wet conditions may affect footing.
Race numbers are collected on the day from Race HQ in beach hut 18 close to the RNLI station. Numbers are Tyvek with an integrated timing chip and a tear-off baggage label; competitors should complete medical details on the reverse. A baggage drop will be available at beach hut 17.
Water is provided at the 5 km turn and at the finish. The event is chip timed and uses a live timing provider with dynamic results, QR access to finish times and finish-line photos. Earphones including bone-conducting types are prohibited and will result in disqualification. Public car parks and coin-operated public toilets are available within easy walking distance.
County championship entry requires county qualification by birth or at least nine months residence in Lincolnshire; North Lincolnshire does not count as Lincolnshire.
