East Coast Classic 10K - Mablethorpe, 13 September 2026
The East Coast Classic is a 10 km road race held on 13 September 2026 on Mablethorpe Promenade with Race HQ at beach hut 18 next to the RNLI Lifeboat Station (postcode LN12 1AL). Entry closes on 7 September. Entry fees are £22 for affiliated runners and £24 for unaffiliated runners.
The course is an out and back from the RNLI station to Sandilands along the promenade. It is mainly flat and traffic free but includes a couple of sharp declines and inclines near 1 km and 9 km. There are narrow sections between 3 km and 4 km on the outward leg and between 6 km and 7 km on the return; runners should keep to the left. Parts of the route run adjacent to the beach and sand may blow onto the promenade. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. The route is open to the public so runners should be aware of pedestrians and cyclists.
Race numbers are collected on the day at Race HQ. Numbers are Tyvek with a built in timing chip and a tear off baggage label; competitors should complete medical details on the reverse. Baggage drop is at beach hut 17 and items are left at the owner’s risk. Public toilets are available in Mablethorpe; coin payment may be required.
There will be a pre race briefing at the start; attendance is advised. Earphones including bone conducting devices are not allowed and will lead to disqualification. Water is provided at the 5 km turn and at the finish. The event is chip timed; finish times can be downloaded via the QR code on the bib and dynamic results are available during the race. Finish line photos will be provided free of charge via the timing system.
Prizes include overall male and female 1st to 3rd and county championship awards by age group. The first male and female will each receive a weekend break from the event partner. County championship entry requires county qualification by birth or nine months residence in Lincolnshire; North Lincolnshire does not count as Lincolnshire. County badges must be collected on the day. Subject to entries and costs, donations may be made to the RNLI and a local charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
