East Canyon Triathlon
The East Canyon Triathlon takes place in Morgan, Utah on August 14, 2027. The event starts at East Canyon Reservoir and uses Morgan City Main Street for parts of the course.
The race is organized as a two-transition point-to-point triathlon. Two primary race distances are offered:
- Sprint distance
- Olympic distance
The Sprint bike course is downhill and described as fast. The Olympic bike course includes two short climbs near mile 1 and mile 11, followed by a fast descent into Morgan City. Both distances finish with a cool, scenic run along the Weber River and local neighborhoods.
Several race categories are listed, including Sprint and Olympic triathlon, Sprint and Olympic aquabike, Sprint and Olympic duathlon, and an Olympic relay category. A VIP package is available that delivers packet and race bib to a participant's home; annual USAT members must present their ID and USAT card at the scheduled delivery. VIP participants still collect their timing chip in a dedicated VIP line on race morning. The VIP delivery option closes two weeks before the race.
