Event overview
The Early Bird Triathlon & Duathlon is a multisport event held at Carleton University in Ottawa on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The swim takes place in an indoor 50 m pool at the university. Bike and run courses use Colonel By Drive on closed roads and pass the Rideau Canal, Dows Lake, Lansdowne, and the Carleton campus. Swim entries have limited capacity. Strava files are provided for the bike and run courses. A 12-week Early Bird training program is offered through Carleton University and a partner organisation; the program is limited to 16 participants.

- Youth Try a Tri (15 and under): Swim 100 m, Bike 10 km, Run 2.5 km
Registrants receive a virtual bike fit, a Somersault swim cap, a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, podium prizes for top three male, female, and non-binary finishers, post-race massage/chiro/physio services, and post-race snacks. Important dates include shirt and medal order deadlines and an online registration deadline; bib pickup is scheduled at Carleton University the day before and on race day.
