Early Bird Triathlon & Duathlon
The event takes place on May 16, 2026 at Carleton University in Ottawa. The course runs along Colonel By Drive with views of the Rideau Canal, Dows Lake and Lansdowne. The triathlon uses an indoor 50 m pool, allowing participants to race without an open water swim.
Multiple race formats are offered with distinct distances:
- Long Triathlon: Swim 500 m, Bike 30 km, Run 5 km
- Long Duathlon: Run 5 km, Bike 30 km, Run 2.5 km
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5 km, Bike 20 km, Run 2.5 km
- Swim Cycle: Swim 500 m, Bike 30 km
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 500 m, Bike 20 km, Run 5 km
- Super Sprint Triathlon: Swim 100 m, Bike 20 km, Run 2.5 km
- Try a Tri (16+): Swim 100 m, Bike 10 km, Run 2.5 km
- Youth Try a Tri (15 and under): Swim 100 m, Bike 10 km, Run 2.5 km
Included with registration are professional timing, race photography, a Somersault swim cap, a personalized race bib and a free virtual bike fit. On-course nutrition and post-race massage, chiro and physio services are provided. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female and non-binary finishers. Swim entries have limited capacity and tend to sell out early.
Course maps and Strava files are available for bike and run routes. Important ordering deadlines apply for shirts and medals. Refunds are available only if cancellation insurance was purchased.
