Event overview
The Early Bird Triathlon & Duathlon takes place on May 16, 2026 at Carleton University in Ottawa. The course runs along Colonel By Drive with views of the Rideau Canal, Carleton University, Dows Lake, and Lansdowne. The swim portion is held indoors in a 50 m pool, and the event is presented as an in-pool triathlon option. Bike and run courses are described as closed to traffic. - Long Triathlon: 500 m swim, 30 km bike, 5 km run
- Long Duathlon: 5 km, 30 km, 2.5 km
- Sprint Duathlon: 5 km, 20 km, 2.5 km
- Swim Cycle: 500 m swim, 30 km bike
- Sprint Triathlon: 500 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 100 m swim, 20 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Try a Tri (16+): 100 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Youth Try a Tri (15 and under): 100 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
Registration includes a virtual bike fit, a swim cap, a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition, race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers, post-race massage and snacks. Important deadlines: shirt orders by April 3, medal add-on by April 16, and online registration closes May 12. Bib pickup is scheduled on the days before and the day of the event at Carleton University parking lot P7.
