Eagle Strut 5K Run/Walk 2026
The Eagle Strut 5K is an annual event held in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Organized by the senior class of Franklin County High School, the race marks its 16th year in 2026. The course consists of a 3.1-mile route that takes participants through the town of Rocky Mount.
The race follows a specific path through local streets:

The course begins at Franklin County High School, specifically at the steps of the law building facing the Rocky Mount Smokehouse. Participants travel along Tanyard Road, Pell Avenue, North Main Street, and Greer Lane before returning to the high school via North Main Street and Tanyard Road.
Event proceeds are designated for the Franklin County High School Class of 2027 to assist with senior activity costs and support students in need. Parking is available for participants in the Law parking lot located between the high school and the Rocky Mount Smokehouse. Packet pickup activities occur on the morning of the event at the high school site. Registrations completed by mid-August include a guaranteed shirt size.
